Since sexual harassment is a sensitive topic, employees generally have many questions regarding sexual harassment. Many employees are unaware of the legalities and their rights and responsibilities.
This course is designed to create awareness about the law among the employees by educating them about their rights as an employee, their responsibilities as a witness and clarity on what is considered inappropriate behaviour and what constitutes sexual harassment.
Educational institutions must provide an environment that encourages learning and development to the students as well as the staff. Only institutions that treat everyone respectfully can instil a sense of safety and provide such an environment. This course helps staff and students to know their rights and responsibilities in preventing sexual harassment at higher educational institutions.
Sexual harassment is prohibited in higher educational institutions and is punishable as per UGC Regulations. This course will explains how the penalty for sexual harassment is different for staff and students.
